Editorial: The Need to File Charges against Swine Flu Vaccination Authorities
Today LifeGen.de has filed charges against Germany’s National Vaccination Commission (STIKO) due to the admission and recommendation of swine flu vaccines. By this step we hope to help preventing a comeback of the Swine Flu Case in 2010 and in the future. According to a paper delivered by EMEA, the vaccine Pandemrix obtained the approval for the European Union in May 2008, exactly one year before WHO declared H1N1/A as a Pandemic and one year before the H1N1/A Pandemic strains were isolated in 2009. Moreover, the document delivered to LifeGen.de proves the fact that the vaccine’s safety had been tested on a cohort of 240 adults, clinical trial phase III data about safety and risk aspects for children is missing completely.
From our point of view German Health Care authorities missed to analyze such aspects, having started a unique clinical trial on national scale without having informed the population about the background and possible risks.
Now the office of public prosecution in Berlin will have to decide. The vaccination costs in Germany are said to exceed 400 Mio. EUR.
